How this is measured
“Sold out in 45–60 s” means the configuration was still listed at our check 45 seconds after we first saw it and gone at the check 60 seconds after. Stores with alerts are checked every 5 seconds, every other store every 15, so that is the width of each range. A listing shorter than one check can come and go between two of them, so the real share gone within 30 seconds is higher than shown.

The longer view, and the other iPhones
The 2-minute and 20-minute shares count every timed Duo sell-out since October 29, 2026 (3,197); the other figures are the last 30 days. Stores with alerts are checked every 5 seconds and every other store every 15, so no range is wider than that. The iPhone 18 Pro figures are the same window, for contrast: the Duo is the only iPhone where seconds decide.

Does it differ by storage and color?

A little, and not enough to plan around: among configurations with at least 10 timed sell-outs, the median runs from 60 seconds (256GB Night Sky) to 75 seconds (512GB Star White).

  • Alert stores timed at 5 s, others at 15 s: up to 10 s wider

How does it compare in other countries?

Early and thin: the other countries have been tracked only since November 2, 2026. Australia has the most timed iPhone Duo sell-outs so far (850, median 660 seconds), against 75 seconds in the US.

What does this mean for a stock tracker that checks every few minutes?

It misses most of them: over the last 7 days (6,032 timed iPhone Duo sell-outs), a tracker checking a store every 5 minutes would have seen about 45% of the restocks, one checking every 15 minutes about 26%, and one checking every minute only about 84%.

PickupChecker: confirmed restock to the push on your phone
  1. A check every few minutes
    A check every 5 seconds
A listing that lasts about 60–80 seconds is often gone between two slow checks.
  2. Refreshing apple.com by hand
An alert on two or three stores
Your stores every 5 seconds, every other Apple Store every 15; a first "available" is confirmed about a second later and the push follows about 3 seconds after that.
How this is measured
A listing that lasts d seconds is caught by a check that comes every T seconds with probability d divided by T, capped at one. Our durations are upper bounds, because the sell-out happened some time before the check that saw it, so these catch rates flatter the slow trackers and never us.

How is a sell-out time measured?

As the seconds between the check that first saw a configuration listed for pickup and the check that saw it gone, at every US Apple Store since October 29, 2026.

ReadsMeans
45–60 sStill listed at the check 45 seconds after it appeared, gone at the check 60 seconds after
60 sBoth checks agreed to the second
still listedNot sold out yet; the figure counts up
≈The oldest rows: bounded by the 15-second round, not by two exact checks
thinUnder 10 sell-outs; not ranked
medianThe middle value: half lasted less, half more; never the average
  • Two agreeing checks about 1 s apart = one restock
  • A sell-out is confirmed on the next round
  • First sightings excluded: launch days before October 29, 2026
  • Alert stores every 5 seconds, all others every 15
  • A one-response glitch never enters the log
The honest caveat
A listing shorter than one check can appear and vanish between two checks and never be recorded at all. The share gone within 20–30 seconds is therefore a floor, and the true figure is higher than any table on this page shows.

Why does every store say unavailable, then?

Because you are looking between restocks: a listing that lasts about 60–80 seconds is visible for that long and "currently unavailable" for the rest of the day.

  • Apple's pickup page shows what a store can hand over now, never when the next batch lands
  • iPhone Duo in Apple Stores since October 23, 2026
  • Bought out faster than it arrives: unavailable is the normal state
  • Our part: being told within seconds, while the listing is still there to reserve

Questions

How long do I have once I see the iPhone Duo in stock?

Assume under a minute: half of the 3,197 iPhone Duo restocks timed since October 29, 2026 were gone within 75 seconds, 15% within 30, and the fastest within 2 seconds. Be on the configuration's buy page with pickup chosen before the alert arrives, not after.

Which iPhone Duo configuration sells out fastest?

256GB Night Sky, with a median of 60 seconds over 201 sold-out restocks, against 75 seconds for 512GB Star White, the slowest with at least 10. The spread is seconds and every configuration is gone in about a minute, so pick the one you want.

Are iPhone Duo restocks slower to sell out on weekends?

Not knowable yet: a weekday pattern needs restocks spanning at least 14 days, and our timed sell-outs span 2. This answer switches to the measured medians once the span is reached.

Is 30 seconds enough to check out?

Yes, if everything is ready before the alert: signed in to your Apple Account on apple.com, Apple Pay or a saved card, and the configuration's buy page already open so you only change the pickup store. Once the pickup order is placed, Apple holds the phone for you at that store (Apple: Delivery and Pickup).

Where do these numbers come from?

From PickupChecker's own checks of apple.com in-store pickup availability at all 269 US Apple Stores since October 29, 2026 (every 15 seconds, every 5 for stores with alerts) and at the stores of 18 other countries since November 2, 2026. Only restocks confirmed by two agreeing checks enter, other trackers' reports are never counted, and PickupChecker is independent and not affiliated with Apple.
